THERE have been two more Covid-related deaths in the Cardiff and Vale area, according to Public Health Wales.
This means that 915 people have died in the area since the start of the pandemic.
18 people have died in Wales, meaning that the death toll stands at 6,912.
The case rate of Covid infections in the Vale of Glamorgan has fallen to below the average for Wales.
The case rate in the Vale is 40.4 cases per 100,000 people, much lower than the average for Wales which is 58.3.
Cardiff still has a case rate higher than the average, with a rate of 62.7.
There are 54 new cases in the Vale and 230 new cases in Cardiff.
In Wales, there are 1,899 new cases including residents outside Wales.
