Sully Sports Under 11 football club has recently received a new playing kit thanks to new sponsors Lakeside Signs.

Sully Sports has provided football for children in the community for almost 50 years and runs teams from Under Six to Youth level.

At Under 11, Sully currently runs three teams made up from a squad containing 32 children playing against teams from around the Vale of Glamorgan.

Grassroots and community football relies on the continued support of sponsors to provide playing kit, as well as the involvement of volunteer coaches who give up their free time to support the players.

Head Coach of Sully Sports Under 11s, Paul Jones said: “All of the players, coaches and parents at Sully Sports are extremely grateful for Lakeside Signs’ sponsorship of our club and we would like to thank them for their generosity.

“Later this year the children will be making the transition to competitive football, so it’s fantastic that they will be looking the part for weekly matches against our neighbouring clubs across the Vale of Glamorgan.”

Based locally in Barry, Lakeside Signs is an industry leader in making signage for large and small businesses in sectors including retail, hospitality, entertainment, catering, and care.

Jackson Harris of Lakeside signs said: “I am delighted to be able to play a part in our local community.

“Personally, I am useless at football so to be able to support our local team is great as it’s something that I have always wanted to do.

“And what better time to do so as my partner’s son plays at Sully Sports.”
