THE latest Covid figures from Public Health Wales show that the case rates in the Vale of Glamorgan are above the average rates for Wales.
There are 65.1 cases per 100,000 people in the Vale, with the average for Wales being 60.6.
Cardiff also has a case rate higher than the average for Wales as well, with a rate of 74.7.
The Vale has recorded 87 new Covid cases while Cardiff has the most new cases in Wales with 274.
Wales has 1,977 new cases in Wales including residents outside of Wales.
There have been no new deaths in the Cardiff and Vale area, leaving the death toll at 910.
Wales has recorded two more deaths, with the total number of deaths since the start of the pnademic now at 6,784.
