A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

LIAM CHICHESTER, 25, of Clos Llawhaden, Barry, was jailed for 34 weeks after he pleaded guilty to assault by beating on January 6 and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge after his release from custody.

DYLAN STANGER, 21, of Barry Road, Barry, was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession of cannabis on Cardiff Road on November 4, 2021.

TJ ANTONIO COURTMAN, 30, of Bedlington Terrace, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on October 23, 2021.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ANN MARIE MOORE, 38, of Pontypridd Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

RACHEL HAGG, 40, of Port Road, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after she was found guilty of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on Heol Ceiniog, Barry, on August 29, 2021.

She must complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, was banned from driving for two years and ordered to pay £360 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

LEE MARCUS WILLIAMS, 46, of Maple Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
