CARDIFF and Vale University Health Board is now offering walk-in sessions for all doses of the Covid vaccine.

The health board is offering the first, second, and booster doses of the Covid vaccine at all three of their Mass Vaccination Centres (MVC):

  • Barry Holm View MVC;
  • Bayside MVC;
  • Splott MVC.

People wanting to get any dose of the Covid vaccine can drop into any of the above centres between 8.30am and 7.30pm to get vaccinated.

This week, the health board is also running walk-in sessions at three Cardiff pharmacies.

These pharmacies will be offering walk-in sessions for people wanting any dose of the Covid vaccine from now until Friday, January 21.

Central Pharmacy:

  • Midday to 5pm on Tuesday, January 18, and Thursday, January 20;

No appointments are needed for the walk-in sessions. People can attend but there must have been an eight-week gap since first doses were received, or at least 28 days since a positive Covid test.

For those aged 12-15, a parent or guardian must be in attendance, with walk-ins available at Bayside MVC and Barry Holm View MVC providing it has been 12 weeks since a positive COVID test and there is a 12-week gap since the first dose was given.
