A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

CALUM BARRON, 31, of Holton Road, Barry, was jailed for four weeks, suspended for nine months, after he admitted assault by beating on St Mary Street, Cardiff, on November 18, 2021.

He was ordered to pay his victim £140 compensation.

TIA ALI, 20, of Stewart Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

STEPHEN LEWIS JONES, 41, of Rhoose Road, Rhoose, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for 24 months, after he pleaded guilty to harassment in Barry between June 1 and June 6, 2021.

He must participate in an accredited programme for 29 days, complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

ALICE HINCHLEY, 27, of Clos Celyn, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.
