A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

JOS ANDREW THOMAS SHIELDS, 31, of Cornwall Road, Barry, was jailed for six weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted drink driving with 42 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath and driving whilst disqualified on Churchill Way, Cardiff, on November 26.

He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, banned from driving for three years and told to pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

DANIELLE PARKER, 25, of Hannah Street, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after she admitted driving without due care and attention on Greenway Road, St Mellons, Cardiff, on July 28.

She was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

DAVID KARL BOWRING, 38, of Scott Close, St Athan, was banned from driving for six months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

RAED ALHJAZI, 19, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Foxglove Rise, Penarth, on October 20.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

MARK ANTHONY AVAIENT, 49, of Meadow Vale, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

LIAM NICHOLAS MORAN, 40, of Heathfield Drive, Barry, was ordered to pay £164 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving whilst not wearing a seat belt on the B4267 in Penarth on June 8.

AJAY KUMAR, 24, of Clare Street, Cardiff, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Kingsland Crescent, Barry, on October 22.

STEFAN JOSHUA ROSS, 29, of Heol Fach, Trecenydd, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £199 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession of cannabis in Maple Close, Barry, on September 6.
