A PENARTH man has been arrested - with police appealing to identify two other men - as part of a burglary investigation. 

Earlier this month – on November 16 at approximately 2am – four men forced their way into a property on Commercial Road in Newport; once inside they assaulted a man and stole his wallet. The victim sustained minor injuries and received hospital treatment.

Gwent Police have confirmed that two men have already been arrested in connection with the incident; and they are appealing to identify the two men pictured above.

The two already arrested are:

  • A 35-year-old man from Penarth who has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possessing a prohibited article.
  • A 34-year-old man from the Rhondda Cynon Taf area who has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Both men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police are now trying to identify the two men picture.
