A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
DAVID CARLOS ARAGUNDEZ RAY, 32, of Coychurch Rise, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted being drunk and disorderly on Mill Lane, Cardiff, on October 23.
NICHOLAS GARETH JAMES SHURMER, 38, of Rhoose Way, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he was found guilty of assault by beating in Barry on August 15.
He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, complete a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £965 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.
JEROME CALLUM THOMAS SHIELDS, 24, of Hood Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £160 in a fine and costs after he admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
JASON STUART THOMAS, 45, of Maes Slowes Leyes, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record endorsed with six points.
PAUL DOWN, 44, of Cilgant Y Meillion, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without wearing a seat belt on Cowbridge Road, St Athan, on May 13.
NOEL RODGER, 57, of Wrights Park, Rathfriland, Newry, Northern Ireland, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession of cocaine on Broad Street, Barry, on September 18.
