A DRUG dealer caught red-handed selling heroin and crack cocaine on the streets of Barry has been locked up.
Louis Taylor, 39, of Holton Road, was arrested by police in the town over the summer, prosecutor Meirion Davies told Newport Crown Court.
The defendant, who has 41 previous convictions for 94 offences, appeared for sentence via video link from Cardiff Prison.

Taylor pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
The offences were committed on June 24.
Claire Pickthall, representing the defendant, said her client had struggled with addiction to class A drugs for many years.
The court heard how Taylor admitted his offences on the basis he was selling heroin and crack cocaine to support his own habit.
Although he has many previous convictions for possession of drugs, this was his first for drug trafficking.
His barrister added how he hoped to finally rid himself of drug addiction.
She added how he now enjoys the status of an enhance prisoner in jail after securing a job as a cleaner.
Judge Jeremy Jenkins told Taylor: “On June 24, you were conducting or attempting to conduct street deals involving crack cocaine and heroin and you were arrested.”
He jailed the defendant for 31 months and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge after his release from prison.
The judge ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
