Five staff members were rewarded for 15 years of service at the nursing home:

  • Danoiel Ricaforte
  • Fely Hogan
  • Cecille Oliver
  • Pat Scanlan
  • Joan Wakefield

Plus, Jayne Webb and Lynsay Howell were both presented with their awards for working a decade at the Barry nursing home.

While presenting staff with awards director, Mike Kemp, said: “I’m proud of you all – the service you provide is invaluable.

“During what has been the most traumatic period in the 32-year history of the home you have all shown commitment and dedication.

“You have coped cheerfully – despite uncomfortable PPE and challenges – making the lives of residents as good as could be even without the normal visiting of family and friends.”
