A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

JOANNE WHITE, 29, of Jewel Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 20 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving with 72 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Broad Street on Broad Street on September 26.

She was ordered to pay £334 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

THOMAS CROLLA, 29, of Holton Road, Barry, was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for two years, after he pleaded guilty to assault by beating on June 30.

He must complete 35 sessions of an accredited programme and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

BARRIE JON DAWE, 33, of Merthyr Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £1,280 in costs, fines and a surcharge after he was found guilty of offences under the Vale of Glamorgan (Barry Harbour) Act and the Harbours, Docks and Piers Clauses Act relating to vessels called Bore Da, Morning Dawn and Alisa.

SHANE STATHAM, 29, of Lougher Place, St Athan, was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £642 in costs and a surcharge after he was found guilty of offences under the Vale of Glamorgan (Barry Harbour) Act and the Harbours, Docks and Piers Clauses Act relating to vessels called Morning Dawn and Alisa.

DANIEL JAMES CAMPBELL, 27, of Dock View Road, Barry, was fined £100 after he admitted failing to comply with the community requirement of a suspended prison sentence.

KEIR CHICK, 22, of Holton Road, Barry, was fined £40 after he admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
