A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
JACK MIDDLETON, 18, of St Athan, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to the aggravated vehicle taking of a Kia Rio in Barry on July 22.
He was ordered to pay £690 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
DANIEL COPE, 21, of The Wheate Close, Rhoose, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to harassment.
He was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.

LOUIE DUTTON, 20, of Elizabeth Avenue, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to causing £510 worth of criminal damage to a Vale of Glamorgan Council refuse lorry’s windscreen on June 4.
He must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work, complete a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £690 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.
BENJAMIN FRANCIS TODD, 27, of Port Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises at Main Street, Barry, on June 1.
ROSS MICHAEL HARRIS, 22, of Mariners Way, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted assaulting an emergency worker – PC Mathew Hughes – in Cardiff on December 20, 2020.
He has to complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £335 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
JAY RELPH, 27, of Coychurch Rise, Barry, was ordered to pay £119 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on Queen Street, Cardiff, on September 11.
JACK RICHARDS, 24, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £100 in compensation and a fine after he admitted the criminal damage of a garden chair belonging to Hafod Care Association on July 16.
