SOUTH Wales Police's professional standards department is investigating a video circulating on social media.
At around 7.15pm on Sunday, September 12, officers attended the Tadcross Hotel in Holton Road, Barry as part on an investigation into a domestic incident at a separate address.
According to South Wales Police while at the premises, a man became abusive and aggressive. Due to his aggressive manner, PAVA – an incapacitant spray – was discharged.

A spokesman for the force said: "A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer by spitting.
"He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
"We are aware of footage being circulated on social media and the matter is being considered by the force’s Professional Standards Department."
