A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

RYAN CREED, 23, of Holmes Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £2,026 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by participating in a gathering in private at Rhoose Way, Rhoose, on February 13.

JONATHAN HILL, 40, of White Farm, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 48 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Port Road West on August 18.

He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge and also sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months after he admitted possession of cocaine on the same date.

ANDREW LEWIS CONNORS, 55, of Owens Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £503 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession of a knuckle duster on August 14.

JASON JOHN DUGGAN, 34, of Elizabeth Avenue, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he admitted driving without insurance and driving without a licence on Curran Road, Butetown, Cardiff, on August 15.

He was ordered to pay £219 in fines, costs and a surcharge.

KIRSTY DAVIES, 21, of Ar Y Nant, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Dyfan Road on July 9.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

JUSTIN LEIGH TODD, 50, of Robins Lane, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

KIRSTY FURY, 33, of Bartley Wilson Way, Canton, Cardiff, was ordered to pay £2,026 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by participating in a gathering in private at Gileston Manor, near St Athan, on February 20.
