A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

GEORGE CHRISTOPHER HALLAM, 23, of Dock View Road, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted three counts of assaulting emergency workers – three police officers – on St Mary Street, Cardiff, on August 8.

He must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and pay £330 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.

NATALIE CATHERINE MOORE, 42, of High Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 17 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving with 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in St Athan on August 6.

She also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on August 24.

Moore was ordered to pay £449 in fines, costs and a surcharge.

LYNETTE EILEEN TIMMINS, 54, of Hywel Crescent, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

She was ordered to pay £842 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

AARON WESTLEY GAUGHAN, 41, of Woodlands, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for speeding at 51mph in a 30mph zone in Cardiff on the A4161 Newport Road junction with Colchester Avenue on December 7, 2020.

He was ordered to pay £324 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

TASHA AHMED, 24, of Avondale Road, Grangetown, Cardiff, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions at Jewel Street, Barry, by participating in a gathering in a private dwelling with another person apart from the household or extended household during the emergency period on December 9, 2020.

NIGEL PHILIP PARSONS, 57, of Kenn Road, Clevedon, North Somerset, was ordered to pay £2,026 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions at Aberaeron Close, Barry, by contravening a requirement not to participate in a gathering in private on December 7, 2020.
