A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

ROSS JAMES SMITH, 35, of Blyth Close, Barry, was banned from driving for 18 months for drink-driving on Coldbrook Road East on April 4.

He was ordered to pay £349 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

A-JAY GEISHEIMER, 23, of Greenacres, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident, driving without insurance and driving without a licence on January 3 on Collard Crescent.

He was ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work, complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity

requirement and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

LEWIS WEBSTER, 27, of Vere Street, Barry, was conditionally discharged for six months after he admitted possession of cannabis.

DARREN KING, 42, of Clive Road, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

PHILLIP LOXTON, 43, of Woodlands Road, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

ABBEY MILLER, 36, of Hywel Crescent, Barry, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 41mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West, Cardiff.

STEPHEN FORBES-SIMPSON, 38, of The Grove, Barry, was ordered to pay £589 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on the A4050 Port Road.
