A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

CHRISTIAN NATHAN POWELL, 30, of Southey Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

CONNOR JAMES GRIFFIN, 26, of Cog Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £180.50 in compensation, costs and a fine after he admitted assault by beating and two counts of criminal damage.

GARETH ALEXANDER ROMANS, 44, of Port Road, Rhoose, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Heritage Drive in Barry.

DAVID KERR, 37, of Broad Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £204 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 42mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West in Cardiff.

ANDREW FOSCOLO, 55, of Lydstep Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £374 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 79mph in a 50mph zone on the A48 in Bridgend.

COURTNEY LEWIS GOODWIN, 27, of Port Road East, Barry, was ordered to pay £400 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

JAMES VINCENT JENKINS, 44, of Romilly Park Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £100 in a fine and a surcharge for speeding at 50mph in a 40mph zone on the A48 Brocastle.
