A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

ALEXIS CHRISTOPHER WEST, 40, of Salisbury Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 25 months after he admitted being more than three times the drink drive limit.

He was made the subject of a 12-week electronically monitored curfew and ordered to complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

West must pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

LIAM ANTHONY JONES, 29, of Holton Road, Barry, was jailed for six weeks, suspended for 12 months, and banned from driving for 13 months after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified.

He was ordered to pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.

JAKE BECK, 20, of Church Road, Barry, was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge after he admitted assault by beating.

ASHLEY MICHELLE BYRD-ANDERSON, 28, of Clwyd Way, St Athan, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

RICHARD DENNIS HAMILTON, 51, of Hunter Street, Barry, was conditionally discharged for six months and ordered to pay £159 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted public disorder and failing to surrender.

MOIRA MORGAN, 65, of Llys Teilo, Llantwit Major, was banned from driving for 12 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving on the B4265 in St Athan.

She was ordered to pay £466 in a fine, costs and surcharge.

GAVYN ANTHONY ELSWORTH, 42, of Regent Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

KENNETH SEENEY, 56, of Pencoedtre Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and surcharge for speeding at 50mph in a 30mph zone on COWBRIDGE ROAD West in Cardiff..

His driving record was endorsed with five points.

ANTHONY JOHN DUTTON, 60, of Port Road East, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and surcharge for driving without wearing a seatbelt.
