A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

BENJAMIN ALLEN, 46, of Severn Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £159 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession ten tablets of etizolam, a controlled drug of class C.

CRAIG ALAN REES, 40, of Vere Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £529 in compensation, a fine and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to trespassing at Cadoxton Railway Station.

DEAN MARK WATKINS, 36, of Greenwood Street, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted assault by beating.

He must complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay a £95 victim surcharge.

JAKE PAUL JONES, 33, of Hayes Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His licence was endorsed with six points.

TONY JOHN CRON DELL, 28, of Winston Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving through a red light in Cardiff at the A4161 Newport Road junction with Rover Way.

JOSHUA DANIEL HOLLOWAY, 29, of Rhoose Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cardiff’s Cowbridge Road.

His licence was endorsed with three points.

RICHARD CAHN, 57, of Hayes Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 47mph in a 40mph zone in Pontyclun.

His licence was endorsed with three points.

EMILY ASHMAN, 36, of St Davids Crescent, St Athan, was ordered to pay £100 in a fine and a surcharge for speeding at 52mph in a 40mph zone in Pontyclun.

Her licence was endorsed with three points.
