THE jailing of an eighth man involved in the events leading up to the death of a 17-year-old boy can now be made public.

Nathan Delafontaine, 34, was with Harry Baker's killers and initially involved in chasing the teenager through the streets of Barry.

The victim was repeatedly stabbed, stripped, and left for dead in the town’s docks on August 28, 2019.

His body was found by workers later that morning.

Delafontaine pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

The other seven men were convicted following a trial at Newport Crown Court of either murder or manslaughter.

They pursued the rival drug dealer for a mile before cornering and killing him Delafontaine and Raymond Thompson were part of the gang initially but broke off the chase before the others entered the secure compound where the killing took place.

Thompson was the man responsible for pointing out Harry to the mob.

Another man, Lewis Evans, acted as a driver, helping the attackers find Harry and driving them away from the scene of the crime.

Delafontaine was jailed for 28 months in June 2020 but reporting restrictions prevented details being made public until the end of his co-defendants’ trial.

The seven and their prison terms were:

• Leon Clifford, 23, found guilty of murder, jailed for life with a minimum tariff of 27 years

• Leon Symons, 22, found guilty of murder, jailed for life with a minimum tariff of 28 years

• Brandon Liversidge, 17, found guilty of murder, jailed for life minimum tariff of 20 years

• Peter McCarthy, 38, found guilty of murder, minimum tariff of 23 years

• Raymond Thompson, 48, found guilty of manslaughter, jailed for six years

• Ryan Palmer, 34, found guilty of manslaughter, jailed for 11 years

• Lewis Evans, 62, found guilty of manslaughter, jailed for four years
