A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

IESTYN WILLIAMS, 18, of Court Road, Barry, was conditionally discharged for six months after he admitted public disorder in Dylan Crescent and failing to surrender.

He was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.

LIAM TYLER JONES, 21, of Port Road, Rhoose, was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he pleaded guilty to assault by beating and causing criminal damage to a Fiat Punto.

He was ordered to complete a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £285.20 in compensation.

IAN MICHAEL PATERSON, 40, of Dunlin Court, Barry, was ordered to pay £714 in compensation, a fine and a surcharge after he admitted causing criminal damage to a window.

DONNA LUCY PEART, 37, of Jewel Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months for driving without insurance on Gladstone Road.

She was ordered to pay £574 in costs, a fine and a surcharge.

JASON LEE WHIPPEY, 35, of Edward Street, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to stealing a Ford Fiesta car and possession of 356 tablets

of etizolam, a class C drug.

He was ordered to complete a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement and must observe a 10-week curfew between 8pm and 8am.

Whippey must also pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

LOUISE PEACOCK, 56, of Palmerston Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in costs, a fine and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

PAUL MICHAEL DAVID, 33, of Scott Close, St Athan, was ordered to pay £254 in costs, a fine and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified at Aberthaw Power Station.

HANNAH HYDE, 34, of Barry Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £194 in compensation, a fine and a surcharge after she admitted stealing groceries from B&M and meat from Iceland.

NEIL COUGHLIN, 52, of Lon Fferm Felin, Barry, was ordered to pay £100 in a fine and surcharge for speeding at 47mph in a 40mph zone.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.
