A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

CARL VINCENT ANDREWS, 62, of Crossways Street, Barry, was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months, after he was found guilty after a trial of public disorder.

He must complete a 12-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £378 in costs and a surcharge.

MARC ANTHONY BLOOM, 33, of Harvey Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with cannabis in his blood.

He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge

BENEDICT EDWARD RYAN, 41, of Cilgant Y Meillion, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he was found guilty after a trial of two counts of assault by beating and one count of public disorder.

He must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and pay £715 in costs and a surcharge.

KYLE ANTHONY BUTTS, 36, of Fairfield Crescent, Llantwit Major, was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted driving whilst disqualified on Barry’s Treharne Road.

He was banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.

CARL NEILSON, 32, of Angle Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £391 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident.

His driving record was endorsed with seven points.

JASON EDWARD STEPHENS, 32, of Winchester Close, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified.

He was ordered to pay £319 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ZOE LOUISE FALCON, 36, of Dobbins Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £882 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

RORY BARBER, 28, of St Nicholas Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving when he was in such a position that he could not have proper control of the vehicle.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.

SAMER HBEISHEH, 27, of Woodlands Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £324 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

JUSTIN LEIGH TODD, 50, of Robins Lane, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

ALEX VALVO, 46, of Porthkerry Road, Rhoose, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to the window of a vehicle belonging to Dyno-Rod Plumbing.
