A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

MICHAEL ASHLEY STEPHEN SPARKS, 18, of Pencoedtre, Barry, was ordered to pay £134 in fines and a surcharge after he admitted being drunk and disorderly and being in breach of a suspended jail sentence for possessing an offence weapon, a knuckle duster.

CAMERON STOKES, 20, of Parc Prison and Young Offenders' Institution, Bridgend, was locked up for 21 days after he admitted stealing an iPhone 10 in Barry.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge after his release from custody.

CHRISTOPHER ANDREW LING, 50, of Dunlin Court, Barry, was jailed for 24 weeks, suspended for 18 months, after he pleaded guilty to possessing a knife and causing an obstruction at Cadoxton Railway Station.

He was ordered to pay £563 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

DYON BRANDON DUPUIS, 19, of Jenner Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £184 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving through a red light.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.

LESLEY KEITH INGRAM, 49, of Cross Street, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to harassment.

He must participate in an accredited programme for 35 days and complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Ingram was made the subject of a two-year restraining order and must pay £1,080 in compensation, costs, a fine and surcharge.

AARON ANDREW EDWARDS, 33, of St Julian Close, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted harassment.

He was ordered to complete a 35-day building better relationships programme and must pay £1,180 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge.

KELLY VICTORIA RIX, 37, of Greenacres, Barry, was ordered to pay £134 in a fine and a surcharge for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone.

Her driving licence was endorsed with three points.
