A MAN who pleaded guilty to having a knife in a public place over Christmas was warned he could be facing a prison sentence.
Anthony Kocus, 34, from Barry, admitted committing the offence in the town’s Maes Yr Ysgol.
At Cardiff Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to having a bladed article in public on December 27, 2020.
Judge David Wynn Morgan granted Kocus, who had been remanded in custody, unconditional bail.
But he warned him that he could be facing a jail term for the offence.
Kocus, of Aeron Close, was represented by his barrister Adam Sharp.
Rosamund Rutter appeared for the prosecution.
The defendant is due to be sentenced on February 23.
The court was told he has previous convictions for public disorder and criminal damage.
Kocus’ sentence was adjourned so that a report into his background could be prepared.
