A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

JAKE SHEAD, 24, of Brunel Close, Barry, was jailed for 20 weeks after he admitted assault by beating, public disorder and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.

He was ordered to pay £100 compensation.

ERYN GRANT, 19, of Herbert Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 28 days and she must pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance and a licence.

JAMIE STEVEN WOODHAM, 32, of Romilly Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £439 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer.

TONI LLOYD, 37, of Glas Y Llwyn, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £660 fine after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

LISA RICHARDSON, 47, of Westward Rise, Barry, was ordered to pay £1,346 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she was found guilty in her absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

ANTHONY HALFORD, 28, of Merthyr Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 51mph in a 30mph zone in Bridgend.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

LIAM ANTHONY JONES, 28, of O'Donnell Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SYLVIA ELFRIEDA O'DRISCOLL, 67, of Dyfnallt Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on North Road in Cardiff.

Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

STEWART GRIFFIN, 42, of North Walk, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph zone on the A48 in Bridgend.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.
