Darren Paul Hyde
A criminal who uses a bawdy alias inspired by a Monty Python Life of Brian character has been locked up.
Darren Paul Hyde, who was listed on court papers as also being known as 'Mr Biggus Diggus', was jailed for theft, public disorder and breaching a suspended prison sentence.
Darren Curtin
Paedophile Darren Curtin shared a “fantasy” about sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl with “like-minded people” as well as sending them vile indecent images of children.
Th 54-year-old was jailed after he supplied hundreds of images which Judge Michael Fitton QC said were “deeply degrading and perverted”.
Prosecutor Steven Donoghue told how Curtin had downloaded and distributed photographs and films of girls and boys being sexually abused on his Samsung Galaxy mobile phone.
Keiron Miller
An arsonist torched delivery vans belonging to supermarket chain Iceland in a "revenge attack" directed against a store manager he held a grudge against.
Keiron Miller, 32, caused £48,000 worth of damage to two vehicles outside the town’s store.
Cardiff Crown Court heard how staff were working inside the supermarket at the time of the early morning arson attack and had to be evacuated.
Anthony Richardson
A bully who repeatedly stamped on his girlfriend less than a month after she gave birth to their daughter was jailed for 12 months.
Anthony Richardson, 32, of no fixed abode, attacked his then partner in a sickening assault, Cardiff Crown Court heard.
Prosecutor Thomas Stanway said the offence also included the defendant slapping her and leaving her with a bloodshot eye.
Sean Kells
A knifeman who was caught by police with a Stanley knife in public has been jailed.
Sean Kells, 34, of Aeron Close, Barry, was sent to prison for four months after appearing at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant pleaded guilty to having an orange-handled Stanley knife on Holton Road on October 9.
Kells was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge upon his release from custody.
Michael John David
Disqualified driver Michael John David was jailed for defying his ban after being caught behind the wheel by police.
The 43-year-old, of Main Road, was sent to prison for 24 weeks at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
By flouting his ban, the defendant was also in breach of a suspended jail sentence for drug-driving in March when he tested positive for amphetamine.
