A DISQUALIFIED driver who defied his ban was jailed after being caught behind the wheel by police.
Michael John David, 43, of Main Road, Barry, was sent to prison for 24 weeks at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
By flouting his ban, the defendant was also in breach of a suspended jail sentence for drug-driving in March when he tested positive for amphetamine.

The court heard how David was spotted flouting his driving ban in a Ford Focus on Barry’s Colcot Road on April 8.
He pleaded guilty to this offence and driving with no insurance.
David was further banned from driving for one year and 84 days and will have to pay a £128 surcharge upon his release from custody.
