A WOMAN was handed a suspended jail sentence after she admitted being three-and-a-half times the drink-drive limit in Barry.

Rhian Elinor Williams, 36, of Dylan Close, Llandough, was also banned from driving for 30 months.

She was caught while driving a Ford Focus on Cardiff Road.

When breathalysed by officers, she was found to have 128 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Williams admitted drink-driving, the offence being committed on May 29.

At Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, she was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months.

Williams was ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and complete an 18-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

She must also pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.
