A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

CONNOR MCLEOD, 28, of St Athan, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

He was also ordered to pay £217 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ANTHONY PAUL MCAULEY, 57, of Heol Y Llongau, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he admitted failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident, driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance.

He was also ordered to pay £439 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

CALUM HOARE, 18, of Wynd Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £324 in fines, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving when the registration mark fixed on a vehicle was obscured.

His driving licence was endorsed with six points.

DONNA LUCY PEART, 37, of Jewel Street, Barry, was conditionally discharged for nine months and ordered to pay a £21 surcharge after she pleaded guilty to stealing five fish products, a Lucozade drink, five Airwick air fresheners and two pairs of men’s socks worth a combined value of £71 from Tesco.

MICHAEL ASHLEY STEPHEN SPARKS, 18, of Hywel Crescent, Barry, was ordered to pay £179 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted being drunk and disorderly at the Express Holiday Inn in Rhoose.

TARIQ ASSAYED, 31, of Heol Finch, Barry, was ordered to pay £202 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted driving without due care and attention.

His driving licence was endorsed with three points.

THOMAS JOHN PAUWELS, 30, of Heol Leubren, Barry, was ordered to pay £400 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
