A CHIRK woman has thanked the town’s community for their donations after launching an appeal to help local carers and hospital staff.
Donna Thomas put an appeal on social media for toiletries to be collected for staff at Wrexham Maelor Hospital after visiting was restricted during lockdown.
Donna said: "This is not the first time Chirk people have been generous, when we went into lockdown I wanted to help the NHS staff at Chirk hospital and the carers at Chirk court were I work.
“I put a plea out then to help raise money to buy hand creams from Avon as I’m also an Avon representative.
"I don’t make profit on the donations and any commission I make I spend on more products, it’s not just my customers donating to my PayPal but the public of Chirk have been so generous.
“It’s a nice feeling to help others and the Chirk community is always willing to do that, especially for people in need.”
