A BARRY comprehensive school is celebrating the opening of their new building.

Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg pupils were welcomed back in September 2020 with a new and modern 21st century block that has been built for the humanities, modern languages, ICT, and physical education departments.

In every room, there are in-built high-technology appliances in this striking building. There are four IT suites for the ICT, business, and Welsh Baccalaureate departments.

For PE lessons, an enormous sports hall as well as a new 3G pitch. The new technology block will be opening in after half term, and the sixth form block will be completed by the summer.

Mr Hywel Price, Headteacher said: “It is a joyous occasion to see these new buildings open and to provide the best available modern facilities for our pupils.

Although the school cannot open their doors to visitors, a virtual open week for prospective year 6 pupils and their parents is taking place this week.
