HUNDREDS of Vale secondary pupils have been asked to self-isolate – following the latest reports of Covid-19 being detected.
St Richard Gwyn RC, in Barry, has seen two separate incidents while Llantwit Major High alerted the community.
In a LlantwitMajorSchool Twitter post, on Sunday, October 4, the school said: “Sorry for disturbing your Sunday but parents/guardians should have received an important ‘Coronavirus Alert’ email today.”

As previously reported, Whitmore High School, in Barry, also required pupils to self-isolate.
Barry primary schools, that have had cases detected, include Oak Field, High Street, Palmerston, and Ysgol St Baruc.
Elsewhere in the Vale, Dinas Powys Primary School has previously experienced Covid-19.
A Vale council spokesman said: “There have been two separate cases at St Richard Gwyn.
"The first has led to one member of staff and six pupils self-isolating. The second has seen 320 pupils self-isolate.
"At Llantwit Major 224 pupils are self-isolating.”
