A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

MICHAEL REES WESTERN, 39, of Whitewell Road, Barry, was jailed for 26 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted producing cannabis.

He was ordered to pay £207 in costs and a surcharge.

GARETH WILCOX, 61, of Gladstone Road, Barry, was banned from driving for three years after he admitted failing to provide a specimen.

He was ordered to complete a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement he must pay £300 in a fine, costs and surcharge.

JOHANNA MAY SCOTT, 65, of Cardiff Road, Dinas Powys, was ordered to pay £183 in a fine, costs and surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone in Barry.

MEGAN CHARLOTTE VIOLET EVANS, 23, of Wren Road, St Athan, was banned from driving for a month for driving without insurance.

JAYDENE CATHERINE LAWRENCE, 23, of Eagleswell Road, Boverton, Llantwit Major, was ordered to pay £549 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in St Athan and assaulting a police officer.

STEPHEN FRANCIS MURPHY, 36, of Treharne Road, Barry, was fined £80 after he admitted that he failed to comply with the requirements of a community order.

MICHAEL FRANCIS SPARKS, 39, of Fern Drive, Barry, was conditionally discharged for nine months after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Northcote Terrace.

He was also ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.

NATASHA ALCOCK, 29, of Coychurch Rise, Barry, was ordered to pay £811 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver.
