FROM the Archive this week features a photograph of Bethel Baptist A.F.C.
In 1912 Barry Bethel Baptist A.F.C. were runners up in the Second Division Cardiff and District League and runners up in the A. S.R.S (Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants) Cup competition.
W. (Bill) Jennings their captain holding the ball in the front row was signed by Bolton soon after this photograph and had a magnificent career.
He won two FA Cup winners medals (1923 and 1926), won full international caps for Wales and was the first Welsh senior international from Barry.
He also managed Cardiff City and Barry Town.
