A MURDER trial jury has been discharged after after two members of the jury fell ill.
Jordan Brown, 25, of Holton Road, Barry, is accused of stabbing Jordan Davies, 23, to death in Holton Road, Barry, nine days before Christmas.
Mr Brown has denied murder on December 16, 2019.
Judge Rhys Rowlands told Cardiff Crown Court he was forced to discharge the remaining jury, but said the illnesses were not related to coronavirus.
Judge Rowlands said: “We are two short still among the jury.
"Their absence is nothing to with covid or the pandemic but they have medical issues and there’s no prospect of them coming back this week.
“I am going to have to discharge you as a jury in this particular trial and I will start the trial again with a new jury hopefully next week.”
Brown denies murder.
The Cardiff Crown Court trial, estimated to last three to four weeks, will be rescheduled.
