DISCOUNT store Poundstretcher is due to shut its store in the Barry Waterfront Retail Park on Friday, September 4.
The nationwide chain was established in 1981, but this year it was revealed that Poundstretcher would have to shut down nearly half its stores after landlords and creditors approved a rescue restructuring.
A Costa Coffee store/drive-thru and Burger King drive-thru opened in the retail park last month. August.

A Starbucks is currently being fitted out – also in the Barry Waterfront Retail Park - opposite Morrisons.
Iceland, The Food Warehouse is due to open on the former Waitrose site, Palmerston Road, Barry, later this month.
The discounter will be joined, next door, by a Home Bargains which is currently being fitted out.
Both Iceland, in Holton Road, and Home Bargains in Thompson Street, are expected to remain in the town centre.
