A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

KEITH ALEXANDER SIMPSON, 51, of Holton Road, Barry, was jailed for 10 weeks after he admitted a public disorder offence by threatening a probation officer at Barry police station.

He must also pay a £128 surcharge.

LEE ADRIAN HOPKINS, 37, of Pendine Close, Barry, was jailed for 18 weeks after he admitted driving a Citroen Xsara on Trinity Street whilst disqualified.

It was his fourth conviction for driving whilst disqualified in four years.

Hopkins was also banned from driving for 51 months.

CORY BOWDEN, 29, of Lon y Rheilffordd, Barry, was banned from driving for 20 months after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

CHELSEA LOUISE KINGSLEY, 26, of Radnor Green, Barry, was banned from driving for 20 months after she pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

ANNA HORN-JONES, 53, of Shackleton Close, St Athan, was fined £120 after she admitted common assault and producing cannabis.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

CARLA MARIE PRICE, 28, of Ffordd y Mileniwm, Barry, was fined £88 after she admitted assaulting a police officer.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

WILLIAM JOE NORRIS, 37, of Caerwen Close, Dinas Powys, was banned from driving for 17 months after he admitted failing to provide a specimen in Barry.

He was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Norris must also pay £85 costs and a £95 surcharge.

LEIGHTON GOOLD, 52, of Powis View, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

He was fined £660 and also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

GEMMA LOUISE RAY, 33, of Trinity Street, Barry, was fined £323 for driving with no insurance.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge and her licence was endorsed with six points.

CRAIG O’SHEA, 48, of Porth y Castell, Barry, was fined £100 for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Jenner Road.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and his licence was endorsed with three points.

DAWN JOANNE VIVIENNE HIBBERT, 47, of Castle Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £1,031 in fines, costs and a surcharge for driving with no insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Her licence was also endorsed with six points.

CLAIRE KNIGHT, 46, of Cwrt Eirlys, Barry, was fined £660 for driving with no insurance.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge and her licence was endorsed with six points.

DANIEL EDWARD MURPHY, 51, of no fixed abode, was fined £120 after he admitted a public order offence.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

NATHAN JAMES CONIBEAR, 24, of Meirion Close, Barry, was fined £120 for driving with no insurance.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge and his licence was endorsed with six points.

NIGEL JONES DAVIES, 49, of Smeaton Close, Fontygary, Rhoose, was fined £293 for speeding at 47mph in a 30mph zone on the A48 in St Nicholas.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and his licence was endorsed with five points.

NEIL LOVERING, 61, of Cog Road, Sully, was fined £83 for driving through a red light on the A4161 in Cardiff.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and his licence was endorsed with three points.

NACOLEDA NEAGU, 37, of St John’s View, St Athan, was ordered to pay £263 in fines, costs and a surcharge and had three points endorsed on their licence for driving through a red light on the B4181 in Bridgend.
