OFFICERS from South Wales Police Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan are looking to employ a horse as part of its force.
In the vacancy advertised on Facebook, they said: “Do you own a horse that’s looking for a Stable career?
“After successfully using social media to recruit PH Hamilton to our mounted section last year - we’re now looking for another new Police Horse to join the family.
“PH Hamilton has joined us in neighbourhood policing duties and attends large events for crowd control, and we’re looking for another recruit to giddy up and join him.

The appeal added: “We’re looking for a gelding of any colour aged between five to eight years old and ranging between 16.1hh (hands high) 17.2 hh.
The social media post added: “If you know of a suitable police horse that isn’t just a one trick pony - email expressions of interest to our yard manager, Katrina.edmonds-daniel@south-wales.pnn.police.uk
