FRIENDS of an 18-year-old allegedly murdered by her father have paid tribute to the 'warm and loving' teenager.

Nikoleta Zdun was described as having a 'massive heart' by her friends.

The college student and her mother, 40-year-old carer Aneta Zdun, died at their home on Monday.

Her father, 39-year-old Marcin Zdun, will appear at Winchester Crown Court today after he was charged with murdering the pair at their home in Salisbury.

Friends and members of their community have been placing flowers outside the house on a quiet residential road in the cathedral city.

Nikoleta, sometimes called Niki by friends, was a college student interested in travel and tourism who dreamt of working abroad and was passionate about fashion and make-up.

Friends recalled how they used to jokingly tease Polish Nikoleta because of her accent and said she loved visiting Wetherspoons in Salisbury to socialise.

Abigail Perry, 18, said: "She had a massive heart, she was a really warm and loving person.

"You would find it hard to find someone as caring as her, she was such a good friend.

"She loved seeing her friends and now we'll miss her so much.

"It won't be the same without her but we won't let her be forgotten, we're going to try to plan a memorial for her.

"Everything about it is horrible."

Lydia Hopkins, 17, was in the same travel and tourism class as Nikoleta at Wiltshire College, which has a campus in Salisbury, and the pair became friends.

Miss Hopkins had been due to meet up with Nikoleta for a picnic the day after her death.

She said: "She looked like a model, she was very pretty.

"She was an extremely caring person and easy to get along with.

"Nikoleta was really into her fashion and her make-up, she would always look so good.

"It is all so, so sad, I'm really struggling to believe it.

"Her not being here is going to leave a big hole for lots of people, for sure."

A spokesman for Wiltshire College and University Centre, where she studied, said: “Our thoughts are with those close to Nikoleta at this incredibly sad time.

"She was a kind and thoughtful young woman with her whole life ahead of her.

"She had ambitions of working abroad and following her dreams. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her at the college.”

Salisbury Journal:

Gareth Jones, head of sixth form at Sarum Academy, where she used to study, added: "Nikoleta was a genuinely lovely person and people here have been affected by her sad death.

"She was a fiercely bright young lady and often showed kindness by holding doors open for people and helping Year Sevens read.

"She studied health and social care and media and will be sorely missed."

On Wednesday, 10 of Aneta's colleagues, from nearby home healthcare service Wessex Care, laid flowers by the house and formed a huddle.

Notes have also been placed by saddened friends and members of the community.

Nikoleta's former school, St Joseph's Secondary School in Salisbury, left flowers with a note.

It said: "Dear Nikoleta and Mrs Zdun... All our prayers are with you and your family and friends.

"You will always be a member of the St Joseph's family."
