HANGFIRE Southern Kitchen duo Shauna Guinn and Sam Evans will be appearing on BBC One’s Daily Kitchen Live at 10am on Friday, April 24.

They will join hosts Matt Tebbutt and BootstrapCook, Jack Monroe live from Wales and chat about firing up the coals this weekend.

It focuses on home-cooking using ingredients found in store cupboards or which are readily available in stores selling food products.

Ms Guinn and Ms Evans quit their jobs in London in 2012 and embarked on a six-month tour of southern American states in which they sampled American BBQ food and hoped to meet Dolly Parton – “our patron saint.”

They opened a pop-up restaurant in Cardiff and won the Best Street Food award at the BBC Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards for their barbecue.
