THE Vale council has thanked its refuse and recycling teams for their work during the coronavirus lockdown.
On a social media post, it said: “We'd like to say a big thank you to our dedicated and hard-working frontline staff.
“Despite the current crisis we are continuing to operate a full recycling and waste service.
“Our garden waste teams have a couple of weeks’ worth of additional waste to catch up on so please bear with them.
“If your waste is not collected on your usual collection day please leave it on the kerbside, we will return the following day.”
Residents are reminded they should only place grass; shrub cuttings; leaves; plants without soil; flowers; weeds; and hedge clippings in the green garden waste bags.
