A TEENAGER from Barry has painted a personal tribute to NHS workers with the aim of it bringing hope to the nation.
Rhiannon, 16, of Barry Island, attends Ysgol y Deri, in Penarth, but also studies art at St Cyres School, in Penarth where her talent is fostered.
Dad, Danny Bennington said: “She wanted to do her own tribute to say thank you to the NHS and bring hope to the country.
“She is a natural Banksy I think!
“She is going to do another picture of the Queen and Vera Lynn on the other side wall at a later date with the Queens words ‘we will meet again'.
“She is a natural gifted artist.”
Rhiannon previously received recognition for her painting when, a few years ago, she came second out of 1,000 entries in a UK-wide competition on the theme of Windrush.
She won a trip to London, in a top hotel, through the school.
The competition was judged by Gok Wan, the fashion designer, TV presenter, and more recently New Theatre Cardiff pantomime star.
