THE minor injuries unit, in Barry Hospital, will close for one week initially from Monday, March 23 due to the COVID 19 coronavirus pandemic.
Cardiff & Vale UHB, announcing the measure on Twitter, said: "We have made the difficult decision to close our Minor Injuries Unit" so "we can redeploy our staff elsewhere."
It said it was looking at alternative ways to provide a minor injuries service.
It advised that if it is urgent you can attend the emergency unit at the University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff, and it apologised for any inconvenience.
