TESCO has announced its strategy for ensuring customers are able to buy the goods they require during the coronavirus outbreak.
From, Thursday, March 19 it is introducing a store-wide restriction of three items per customer on every product line, and removing multi-buy promotions.
It is closing all meat, fish, deli counters and salad bars.
Some distancing measures will be in place at the checkout and customers, who can, will be invited to pay by card.
To help free up slots for the more vulnerable, such as our elderly customers and those who are self-isolating, the company is encouraging customers who shop online or choose Click+Collect for their grocery home shopping, to prioritise shopping in-store where possible.
To ensure our more vulnerable and elderly customers can shop in-store, it will prioritise one hour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning between 9am and 10am (except in the Express stores) and ask that you respect this.
Trading hours in Tesco, Stirling Road, Highlight Park, Barry, are from 6am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
