Vale AM Jane Hutt joined Friends of Art Central Chair Jane Salisbury to view the powerful ‘Girls of Room 28’ exhibition and virtual reality film ‘The Last Goodbye’.
The Art Central Gallery, in Barry Library, in King Square, commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust on Monday, January 27 to mark the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau - the largest Nazi death camp.
Ms Hutt said: “The exhibition focused on the Girls of Room 28 where Jewish children were sent from Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia to Theresienstadt concentration camp during Second World War.
"It is a powerful moving exhibition alongside the virtual reality film The Last Goodbye telling the story of a survivor who revisits the camp where his twin sister and parents were gassed after they were separated at the gate from the train.”
