TWO volunteer RNLI crew members from Barry Dock lifeboat station have been deployed to the Toddbrook Reservoir, in Whaley Bridge, England, as part of the flood rescue team.
Marc Gibbons and former coxswain Hugh 'Spud' Davies are part of the RNLI specialist flood rescue team that train regularly for flood incidents that happen around the country.
Whaley Bridge residents were asked to leave their homes after the dam wall partially collapsed.
Toddbrook Reservoir is 46 per cent full but needs to drop to 25 per cent before the 1,500 people evacuated are allowed home.
Firefighters say crews must spend at least two more days pumping water from the reservoir to stop its dam bursting and flooding a town.
