RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a poorly dog covered in ulcerated tumours was found in Barry.

The brindle staffy dog was reported to have been found in a lane behind O’Donnell Road back in May by a member of the public who later contacted the RSPCA.

RSPCA inspector, Sophie Daniels said: “This poor dog - who was reported to us as a dog who was found a lane in Barry - was in quite a state.

"She was covered in ulcerated tumours over her face, neck, back and abdomen.

"She also had a potential bone tumour in her leg.

“At the vets she was given immediate treatment as she was clearly in pain.

"However, to alleviate further suffering sadly it was decided that her condition was too severe and the kindness thing would be to put her to sleep.”

RSPCA Cymru is now appealing for information to try and track down an owner or any information to help the animal welfare charity with its enquiries.

"She wasn’t microchipped."

Anyone who has any information, should call the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls to this number are treated in confidence.
