A MAN in his 30s has died after being hit by a train on the line between Barry and Bridgend on Monday, June 17.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called on Monday, June 17 at approximately 7.27pm to reports of a railway incident in Porthkerry.
“We responded with one rapid response vehicle.”
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 7.20pm yesterday evening (17/06), officers from British Transport Police were called to Rhoose station following a report of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended however a man in his thirties was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family have been informed.
“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
