MRS Marco’s café will be giving away a free tea or coffee to any volunteer collecting full bag of rubbish during a stream clean.
Volunteers are needed for a clean of all streams in Porthkerry Country Park, in Barry, on Wednesday, June 12.
The event will run from 10.15am to 1pm and children, accompanied by an adult, are welcome.
Meet at the large overflow car park at the bottom of Fishponds Hill, Porthkerry.
Wear wellies, old clothes, and gloves, but gloves can be provided if needed.
Litter pickers will be provided and volunteers will be aiming to clear all rubbish and blockages.
Mrs Marco’s Café is also a collection point for Ysgol Gwaun y Nant’s crisp packet, biscuit, cracker, and cake bar wrappers recycling scheme in which Terracycle turns them into useful products, stopping unnecessary landfill and boosting school funds.
